September

At the start of September Madelyn was 10 months old- that's double digits in baby age! She really took off growing and developing; something new everyday so it seemed!
Here are some things we noted about her during this month:
-quick little cruiser; brave enough to let go of things to stand; began stepping from here to there
-began pointing, waving, and making choices (usually about food and books)
-tooth #8 came in, completing the front four
-parenting became tougher! Used the word "no" more times than I can count :)

So what else was going on? We headed to Bham for a quick Labor Day weekend.

Hello Internet, my long lost friend!
Glad to see you. How have you been?

Now that you're here and faster than a snail,
I can surf the web, blog, and check my email!

Oh my Internet, how I hope you will stay

good news, bad news

GOOD NEWS:

We are no longer sharing the computer desk!!!

Steven works from home and for the past 7.5 months (who's counting?!) he has had his work computer set up on the same desk as our home computer. That presents a problem: If he's at the desk working, I'm not. But this weekend we did a little switch-a-roo and he now has his own office to work in...no more sharing a desk! Hooray! :)



BAD NEWS:

"My computer" in "my office" (a.k.a. spare bedroom) is going at a snail's pace!!!

When Steven moved his comupter to another room he took the router, and that means the internet connection went with him! We've got a wireless card in this computer and it "talks" to the router in his office so I thought I'd be good to go for internet- wrong! Here I am all excited to settle down at our computer to play but the thing is soooo slow (think dial up!!!) I gotta figure out what I'm going to do. I can't blog like this! :(

Going to do some thinking and re-wiring and stuff.... will try again tomorrow.

If there was an award given to the blogger who falls most behind on updating their blog....

I WOULD WIN THAT AWARD!!!

I cannot tell you how many times a day I think about blogging..."that would be a good post" or "this must go on our blog!"

BUT...

I spend 99.9% of my day playing with and taking care of our 12 month old- that is what I love to do! Sitting down at the computer to blog just falls to the bottom of the list (as does doing laundry, cleaning house, etc!)

SO...

Next week my mother-in-law will be here to play with the wee one while Mommy gets some things done. And yes, I hope to do some crazy blogging!
